Opt-in Email Marketing – How to Get Your Subscribers Beg for More

by kitya on Jan.25, 2010, under About Autoresponders, email marketing, email responder, Opt-In List

autoresponderTo see which ones are effective, my friend tried to subscribe to ten different opt-in e-mail marketing lists to see which ones are effective. A lot of websites and online businesses have considered in sending promotional materials to people who have subscribed to them inorder to boost their sales or traffic. What an Opt-in email marketing does is that it sends newsletters, catalogs updates and many more promotional materials to website visitors who have agreed to be updated whether monthly, weekly or semiannually.

An internet user that is on the list will receive their updates through email. If they like what they see in the promotional material, they will go to the site to find out more or to purchase right away. For the website operators or owners, this is an opportunity to make their products popular.  The competition can get pretty tight and it is easy to be forgotten so it is helpful to have an autoresponder. The fact is that there are numerous sites in the internet that offers the same products or services and a company should make itself visible in the market.

It also helps of one will try to find out which opt-in marketing strategies grabbed a person into begging for more. Some would send in very simple way, some would want it too look outlandish while there are some that would just lie in between. The differences could easily be noticed and some have gotten the idea of an effective opt-in marketing strategy.

There are a lot of ways a company can present their promotional materials. Every company has their own style and designs. But beyond their presentation, what is really important is the content and the articles are what keeps the attention of their potential customer locked on to their opt in marketing medium. They key here is to be creative.

It is important that you keep your promotional materials light, creative and original. A lot of people are stressed out as it is. A stuffy business proposal may just agitate them more. A warm friendly smile or banter is always more welcome than a serious business meeting or proposal. You must show your customers that you know how to have fun although you do want your customers to take you and your products and services seriously.

It is a good idea to splash some color in your emails as well as provide some photos and articles that can be related to you but show good news or good light hearted images as well. Provide a newsletter or promotional materials that will keep them in a light mood. Make your materials friendly in the eyes and look interesting.

Having a good content and article is crucial in making your business successful. Even if it means investing in an experienced and professional copy writer to write them for you, it must be an action you need to do. An effective copy writer should be able to build trust between you and your customers. They should be able to establish your credibility in what they write. It must be informative but not too stuffy. Professional jargons should be avoided when talking to your readers.

If you have a good article and content, it should be able to outline the benefits of your product and services and why they need what you are offering. But do not look to be overeager and too persuasive. There should be an element that entertains them.

You should have a clear promotional material. Do not leave people guessing or put them in a confused position inorder to deceive them. Try to anticipate also what your target prospects need. To do this, you need to do some research and information gathering.

You must provide clear images of what you are offering. If the people know what you have for them, they are more likely to ask for more. For example, if you are selling a kitchen ware, provide them photos but only enough to encourage them to go to your site for more. You will see how this way could help you make sales.

Watch this video on how email marketing is successfully done:

When done correctly, email marketing could be very easy. It is a good way to reach out to your customer with timely information and offers that benefits them as well as reminds them of your brand or products.

It increases the effectiveness of your email marketing by reviewing these practical tips. But proofreading is really important because you want to give a bad impression to your clients or prospective clients.

Proofread your newsletters and other emails to make sure everything is correct. You may want to check all each link if there’s any to make sure it’s all working well. A simple or little typo error can make a link useless.

Getting into details is also really important. The email should make it clear what you are asking the reader to do and what he or she can expect in return. Your corporate design should be present in the email design, supporting your brand image. Courtesy, you may want to finalize your lists and contact and send emails to customers who opted-in to receive them. And give them the option to unsubscribe at any time. You have to be specific on what you are trying to market. By creating the appropriate content and targeting the correct audience, the campaigns you send out will resonate more effectively with your audience. Ultimately, it will deliver a better result.

When inserting images, it is important that your images and content support your messages. Get straight to the point and keep it short. Not too wordy, as they only need to see what they needed to see, but everything in it. Top 5 Ingredients of a Successful Email Campaign

by kitya on Oct.21, 2009, under email marketing

by Steven_Rohner

When planning a new autoresponder campaign, there are several key things you should keep in mind. Many people fail to achieve the best possible performance when using their autoresponder service, simply because they do not plan their campaigns well enough in advice. Below are the five main ingredients that form part of ever successful email campaign.

Make sure you know exactly what you are selling, there should be no grey area involved when a client wishes to follow the purchase process. Ensure that any questions they may have can be answered quickly and in a sensible fashion. If the purchase procedure is completely automated, through a webpage, then make sure it is tested thoroughly, in every possible browser, so that all sales will be processed without error. Wasting sales because you were not ready to take the money from somebody’s pocket is just plain stupid.

Have quality content ready for your emails; do not be afraid to employ the services of a professional copy writer at this stage. You may have invested an awful lot of time and money in setting up your on-line business venture, do not mess up your sales email by writing it yourself, unless you are completely sure you can write it correctly and ensure it contains the correct trigger words and bait.

Be ready, have plenty of resources available to deal with problems, customer queries and complaints. Many ventures have failed simply due to the fact their customers felt they had not been given a decent level of service. Once a customer is displeased with the way you do business, he will not only stop using you, he will tell others about the terrible experience he had dealing with. If in doubt, hold off on your email campaign until you are sure you can deal with anything your client base may throw at you.

Have your entire campaign planned. So many autoresponder subscribers merely fire off their first email in their first campaign, hoping to play it by ear as things progress. This is not an optimal way of working, have all of your first contact, confirmation of order, support request and follow up mails created and ready to go. Rushing things at a further stage into the campaign may cause you to make some serious errors and waste anything you may have achieved so far.

Learn from your mistakes, if your first campaign was not successful; make sure you understand why before launching a new campaign, there is no use in repeating the same mistakes time after time and getting nowhere fast. All of the good autoresponder subscription service supply performance evaluation tools. Learn how to use these tools to improve your campaigns, and keep using them before, during and after every campaign.

The five basic guidelines for planning and running an autoresponder campaign, are designed to help you avoid many of the common pitfalls e encountered by people who do not understand the power of an email campaign, this power is not all positive, a badly planned and implemented campaign can have detrimental effects upon your business.

5 Autoresponder Tips to Boost your Profits

by Jhon Branois on Oct.05, 2009, under autoresponder tips, email marketing

Follow these five  tips to help make sure that you are using your autoresponder in the most profitable way for your business venture, they are all very easy to follow and simple in execution.

  1. Make it personal – Most people like the sound of their own name, if you know it then use it in your emails. By sending personalised mails you will be doing something in an attempt to build a personal relationship with the recipient, this can only be a good thing for any company looking to increase their sales.
  2. Simple is best – Don’t use HTML, or insert graphics, you want to get your message across as quickly as possible, so that people who spend only a few seconds scanning the email have a clear indication of the topic it represents. Also remember that many corporations disable HTML and graphics within their mail systems, your glorious, colourful message will probably end up stripped of its splendour and presented as a bunch of broken links and meaningless code.
  3. Remove if asked – Always include a link that will allow a recipient to remove themselves from your mailing lists, and if they do ask to be removed, make sure you remove themNothing is likely to upset somebody so much as having the removal request ignored, keep in mind that those people who object to an unsolicited email enough to try and remove themselves from the list are also those most likely to report it as spam mail, enough of these and you will find yourself on an email blacklist.
  4. Read before you send – Make sure that every mail you send is perfect, no spelling mistakes or grammar. Don’t be afraid to employ the services of a professional copy writer to produce these emails for you. Remember, these emails are like a salesman, and you wouldn’t buy double glazing from a guy in a dirty shirt wearing odd shoes would you? These emails should represent your company image, and be professional and error free.
  5. Keep sending – Just because the first email didn’t bring a conversion there is no reason think the client is not interested. He may have been busy and ignored the mail, deleted it by mistake, or simply not understood it correctly. Don’t be afraid to send multiple mails (not all at once of course), change the content so that anybody who missed the point of previous mails might pick it up with the new one.

These five simple tips should help to make sure you are making the most of your autoresponder, either self owned or subscription service, they are by no means the only tips but they are very good ones, using them will have a definite positive effect on your autoresponder success, and none of them can do any harm.  Each one is recognised as standard practice by autoresponder experts around the globe.
Good luck with those emails!
